PRAXIS is your new home for tangible 35mm photography. we believe the true essence of an image deserves to be held, studied and appreciated beyond the scroll of a feed, which is exactly why we love film photography! we’re a physical magazine that curates and celebrates submitted photographs from artists worldwide. twelve times a year, we release a new print edition, each one shaped by a unique theme that emerges from the incredible art you share. think of us as a global photo journal, a collective album where images can find their physical space.
we invite you to submit your photography, no matter your experience level - whether you’re shooting on your grandad’s Minolta, a Hasselblad, or a disposable camera.

FIND YOUR FAVOURITE FILM PHOTOS
if possible, find the highest quality version you have (anything from dropbox, or directly from the developer is usually best ~ redownloaded images from instagram or whatsapp are usually the worst)
NAME YOUR FILE TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

USING THE QR CODE, UPLOAD THE FILE(S) TO THE DROPBOX FOR CONSIDERATION
by uploading your images, you confirm that you are the original photographer and possess all necessary rights to the work. we cannot accept images that you do not own or have not created
by submitting an image, you release the usage rights to PRAXIS for use in, but not limited to: print media, advertising, social media, etc

please note: while we do not offer monetary compensation for submitted images, photographers retain full ownership of their work. by submitting, you grant the zine usage rights for publication. rest assured, all photographers will be clearly credited on the page where they appear

Nope! it completely free to submit your work
Q. WHAT KIND OF CONTENT IS NOT ACCEPTED?
we do not accept images that are explicit, graphic, or promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination. our aim is to foster a safe and inclusive space for all art and artists
Q. WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHY DO YOU PUBLISH?
PRAXIS primarily features film photography
Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PHOTO WASN’T PUBLISHED IN THE CURRENT EDITION?
we release a new edition twelve times per calendar year, each one championing a subject we felt truly stood out during that month, if you are unsuccessful for the current edition, don’t sweat it, your image may be included in a future issue, a yearly review or something else we come up with!
Q. WHERE CAN I BUY PRAXIS?
right now, we’re working closely with some of our favourite stores around Australia to stock our zine. for now, hit us up on Instagram or our ‘contact’ page for a copy of your new favourite photography mag. reach out to us if you have the perfect place in mind and we’ll work on it.
Q. IS PRAXIS AVAILABLE DIGITALLY?
our core mission is to celebrate physical print - meaning PRAXIS is exclusively a physical magazine.
Q. DO I RETAIN THE RIGHTS TO MY IMAGE AFTER SUBMISSION?
yup - you retain full ownership and copyright of your images. By submitting, you grant PRAXIS usage rights for publication in the zine.
